We are excited to announce that Josh Fuson, a student at Pathways, has been awarded the 2024 Governor’s Disability Employment Award of Excellence! This award recognizes individuals who show outstanding dedication and commitment in their workplaces, and Josh has demonstrated these qualities throughout his career at Walmart in Broken Arrow.

Josh’s hard work was first acknowledged in 2021 when he was named Employee of the Month for his strong work ethic and his willingness to go the extra mile. Beyond the workplace, Josh actively gives back to his community by donating supplies to local animal rescues, where he also volunteers his time. Together with his family, he fosters rescue dogs, caring for them until they find permanent homes.

Monique Scraper, Executive Director of Pathways, shared her thoughts on Josh’s accomplishment: “It doesn’t surprise me at all that Josh would be recognized in such a way. At Pathways, we all know Josh to be a hard worker, a dedicated friend, and someone who loves to serve the community. We’re so incredibly proud to have Josh here at Pathways. Congrats, Josh!”

Josh approaches challenges with a positive attitude because he enjoys helping others and making their day better. His accomplishments at work and in the community highlight the impact that individuals with disabilities can make when provided with opportunities to thrive.

As we celebrate Josh’s achievement, it’s important to recognize that October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month. This month highlights the essential role that individuals with disabilities play in the workforce, and Josh’s story is a great example of the value that diverse talent brings to all workplaces.

Congratulations, Josh! We are proud to see your hard work recognized in such a meaningful way, and we’re honored to have you as part of the Pathways family.
