Paige has been a student at Pathways for many years. For her, it’s more than just a place to be each week; it’s a space where she can grow academically and form meaningful connections.

Each week, Paige works one-on-one with her mentor, Sharon, focusing on reading, math, and life skills. Although both will tell you that math is their least favorite subject! Lately, they’ve been diving into the Magic Tree House book series, working on vocabulary and reading comprehension.

Over the past few years, something special has taken root. Paige has discovered a true love for reading.

“I’m so proud of how far she’s come,” Sharon shares. “She takes these books home and rereads them on her own. We really enjoy our time together each week.”

Paige’s progress is a testament to her determination and Sharon’s steady encouragement. Their bond is a powerful reminder of how continuing education and mentorship can spark lifelong passions. Click here to learn how you can become a mentor and change a life for a student just like Paige.
