When adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities find a place where they can learn, grow, and belong, the impact reaches far beyond the classroom. It changes life at home, too.
In a recent family survey, 97% of caregivers shared that Pathways has improved their own quality of life. Families reported feeling a greater sense of balance, well-being, fulfillment, and peace of mind knowing their loved one has a place where they are supported and valued.
For many families, caring for an adult with I/DD is a lifelong commitment filled with both joy and responsibility. Having a trusted community like Pathways provides reassurance that their loved one is continuing to grow socially, academically, and personally.
We often talk about the transformation we see in our students. But this reminds us that the impact extends to entire families. When one person gains confidence, independence, and community, everyone’s life is strengthened.
