Marilynn believed deeply in Pathways and in the students we serve. She understood that Pathways is about connection, belonging, and helping adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities live full, meaningful lives. That belief showed up in everything she did, both in her relationships and in her leadership.

Marilynn served on the Pathways Board of Directors beginning in 2022 and was a devoted, thoughtful leader throughout her tenure. She served as Board Secretary, chaired the Governance Committee, and was recently elected to serve as Vice President beginning in 2026. In every role, Marilynn was meticulous, prepared, and deeply intentional. She approached governance not as a formality, but as a way to strengthen the organization she loved. Her guidance, insight, and steady presence helped shape Pathways in lasting ways.

Marilynn was often seen with a large smile and a gentle, welcoming presence. She had a generous heart and a rare ability to make people feel comfortable, important, and truly seen. Her leadership was never loud, but it was consistent, thoughtful, and deeply impactful. She was a mentor to the organization and to those who had the privilege of serving alongside her.

One of the many ways Marilynn’s joy shined was at the Pathways family Christmas party. She had a special connection with Mrs. Claus, fully embracing the fun, warmth, and magic of the season. Those moments captured her spirit so beautifully and reflected the joy she brought into our community.

Marilynn’s impact on Pathways goes far beyond the roles she held. She helped shape our culture with compassion, care, and quiet strength. We are better because she was part of our story.

We send our deepest love and condolences to Marilynn’s family and loved ones. She will always be remembered at Pathways, and her legacy of kindness, leadership, and service will continue to live on in our community.
