Student Art Featured at Summer Carnival

One of Eric’s favorite things do is draw. Eric always walks in carrying a sketch book, markers, and pens. During free time he likes to sit in the back of the room drawing what he sees. His friends worshiping or participating in Bible study, others reading independently, and some chatting in a small group next to him. Pathways is a place for him to draw inspiration for his art. For the past few weeks he has worked with a volunteer on honing his skills to create an original piece of art that will be featured at the Pathways Summer Carnival and 10 Year Anniversary Celebration.

This year’s summer carnival will feature original pieces of student art work which will be available at silent auction. “We hope that this gives people the chance to see how talented each students and provide something for our supporters to take home and enjoy in their homes,” says Communications Manager Katie Groke.

Over 60 pieces will be available to view and bid on Saturday, June 22 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The free event will also include a performance by the Calliope Youth Circus, motorcycle rides from the Oklahoma FAITH Riders, the Tulsa SPCA pet adoption unit, games, and more. The pet fashion show is on again with a panel of guest judges from throughout the Tulsa community. TD Williamson is generously sponsoring this event.
