Hunter Jenkins was a cherished part of the Pathways community for over a decade, enrolling shortly after graduating from high school. From the very beginning, Hunter’s presence reminded us of the importance of routine, creativity, and finding joy in the simple rhythms of life.
Hunter was often quiet and reserved, but those who knew him well knew the gift of his laughter. His teachers frequently said he had one of the best laughs around – full, genuine, and contagious. He loved to stay active, often playing basketball whenever he had the chance. Hunter valued his independence and had a mischievous side that kept his teachers smiling.
Movement and the outdoors were especially important to Hunter. He loved walking, hiking, and staying active. These moments of movement brought him peace and joy and were often when he felt most himself.
It was truly a privilege to have Hunter as part of our community and to walk alongside him and his family for so many years. Hunter was deeply loved by his family, and it was clear how much that love shaped who he was. Though we will deeply miss his laughter and steady presence, we are grateful for the time we were given with him. Hunter will always be a part of the Pathways story.
